Cant remove file cml
When I click "Show lists" and check the delete box it still won't delete. I apologize for the delay in response, somehow I was not notified about your replies. First off, to delete your topologies, once must first wipe the configuration. Once that's done, the option to delete will be enabled. Next, what are your current system specifications? Would you be able to upload a copy of your logs from the System Administration Cockpit? My first speculation is you don't have enough CPU to run that lab.
Your CPU is a Nehalem processor running at 2. Current generation Core i3 quad core processors can actually beat that in both instructions per clock and clock rate.
We certainly had reports of this problem when CML-P 2. CML-P 2. To give this a test, I used the screenshot above to try to replicate your lab. So, I'm unable to replicate your situation with my gear. Even giving it only 4 cores, I was able to get it started. That said, my CPU is is 11 years newer, and I have it clocked much higher, so there could still be something there. I just saw the other screenshot in this thread.
I think I found the problem. I looked at the log file he posted. This is NOT going to be enough for the types of labs you're spinning up. As an example, in the larger lab posted above the one with 11 nodes , when I spun that up, it was using I don't have any experience with ESXi I use Workstation , but it looks like that is the screen that tells you how much total hardware you have. You have 96GB on the server, and that's great.
I thought I posted it a while ago. See attachment for specifications. You did post that a while ago, but that's not the right screen. This is not enough for more than the smallest of labs.
What do you think I should set it to at least? I am not really running anything else or at least at the same time. I'm less sure about the CPU. You can try it, but it might be wiser to stick with 4 cpus. The storage should probably be increased, but I forget how you expand that within CML itself. I know David Bombal had a video explaining that. In the end, I think you're going to run into a CPU limit.
You have lots of RAM, but you have a year-old 4-core Xeon that isn't going to scale to large labs. I can limit number of devices in lab so I can at least work with the nodes I cant boot, but a lab with only few nodes running is pretty subpar but better than nothing until I guess I upgrade my equipment. For storage, I see where I can change allocations for the Hard Disk 1. Max is , its currently I guess I will change it to 32 for now and see what happens.
You can experiment around with it. However, you only have one CPU socket, so you don't want to split it up into two sockets. You also want to expand the storage, as you said. I am going to try and add a CSRv that would not spin up and see what happens. You do not see message after running the command if the file is deleted successfully. Error message is shown only when something goes wrong. Some examples below. To delete all the files in current folder.
The above are the basic use cases of del command. Continue to read below for non trivial use cases. We get access denied error in this scenario. I think that the directory path has to be in quotations if it contains any spaces. Sometimes we get an error when we try to delete a File or a folder for no reason , but of course there is a reason. We have many damage file or blocked files. Did these commands help you? Are there any other commands that you find useful? Either way, let me know over on Twitter.
If you read this far, tweet to the author to show them you care. Tweet a thanks. Learn to code for free. Get started. Forum Donate. Kris Koishigawa. Sometimes it's just faster to do things with the command line.
Then, click on "Run as Administrator": After that, you'll see a Command Prompt window with administrative privileges: Screenshot of Command Prompt window If you can't open Command Prompt as an administrator, no worries.
How to delete files with the del command Now that Command Prompt is open, use cd to change directories to where your files are. For example, to delete Test file.
